child-centred play therapy
Hello. 👋
I’m Adeline, and I help children overcome their anger/anxiety/trauma, so that stressed and overwhelmed parents can rebuild bonds and breathe easy again.

Dear Parent/Caregiver,
- Are you tired of constantly clashing with your child?
- Feeling overwhelmed because they always seem angry, anxious, or sad?
- Lying awake at night, worried about their response to a recent trauma in the family?
Do you want to help, but have tried everything you can think of?
Your child can overcome their challenges – without being forced, coerced, or feeling like they’re the problem. We simply need to speak their language.

Child-Centred Play Therapy (CCPT)
Child-Centred Play Therapy (CCPT) is backed by over 60 years of research that shows it works – it effectively reduces symptoms of anger and anxiety, improves behaviour in school and at home, and strengthens self-esteem and relationships with adults and peers.
Who?
CCPT is helpful for kids who…
- Have angry oubursts, meltdowns (e.g. screaming, fighting, sobbing)
- Are highly anxious (e.g. strong need for control, bedwetting, separation anxiety, neediness)
- Face different types of family stressors (loss of parent, divorce, siblings)
- Have experienced trauma (accidents, loss, neglect, etc.)
Outcomes
- Improved relationships with parents, teachers, peers
- Fewer fights
- Better attention in class
- Fewer meltdowns (‘tantrums’)
- Improved self-regulation
- Higher self-confidence
- Reduced anxious behaviours
How?Â
- Taps on kids’ (aged 3 to 12) natural language – play
- Based on neurobiology – builds secure attachment
- Kids get to make choices – self-efficacy; unique growth they specifically need
What Parents Say

I sought support because my son struggled to manage and express his emotions, and was very temperamental with meltdowns. He really enjoyed the weekly play therapy (he even refused to stop the sessions the first time we suggested it, because things were better) and I saw improvements emotionally and mentally; he can now express his emotions more freely and self-regulates better. He no longer has meltdowns. I also found my monthly call with Adeline very helpful, where she checked in with me and updated me on my child’s progress. Adeline is very approachable, gentle yet firm, and friendly. I would recommend her to any parent looking for child counselling or play therapy!
